[Luke wakes up all alone in a strange apartment and this is not acceptable. There is a whole list of reasons why but it's been summed up pretty well, right there - all alone, strange apartment. No familiar setting, no city, no brother.

This is why he's careening around town in his pajamas* not ten minutes later, at least remembering to put on his slippers and hat. He stops in the shadows by the bakery to open the journal and try something.]

I didn't wake up in the right house and I'm worried he didn't either.

Yotsuba doesn't know a Ben or a brother Ben. If I see him then Yotsuba will make him look for Luke because they're brothers.

Thanks, Yotsuba. [When he smiles at her it is always always real.] I'm counting on you, okay?

[But first things first. With the box of donuts still in her hand she flips it open and offers the box out to Luke.]

You should eat one so you can look ever harder for your brother.

Oh, a donut! [Yes. These are a favorite. Yes. He takes one and it practically disappears.] Thanks, Yotsuba, you sure know what to do for a hungry brother.

[Wow was that a magic trick? Yotsuba can only dream of putting donuts away that fast.] Yotsuba likes being helpful, it makes people happy and not mad. People are scary when they're mad! Find your brother soon so he doesn't get mad and you don't get mad and no one gets mad.

Really? Even if Yotsuba smashed all your plates and blamed it on Nowy because he smashed them really and it wasn't Yotsuba?!

I don't have any plates really. But if I did, why would you want to smash them?

Yotsuba doesn't want to smash them! It's okay! [She was just checking. You know, in case she did smash something of Luke's sometime.

Ben and I have plates but they're not really ours. They belong to this place. [big arm wave at Luceti.]

This place? The bakery? Ohhh you shouldn't take their plates, they need them to put cake and muffins and stuff on.
