[Luke wakes up all alone in a strange apartment and this is not acceptable. There is a whole list of reasons why but it's been summed up pretty well, right there - all alone, strange apartment. No familiar setting, no city, no brother.

This is why he's careening around town in his pajamas* not ten minutes later, at least remembering to put on his slippers and hat. He stops in the shadows by the bakery to open the journal and try something.]

And will slam smack into more than one person as he goes. Mostly from behind. He's a slight kind of thing so it won't hurt the other person much!]

He'll offer a hand to help Luke up. ] We've run into each other a few times, while Layton was off solving a mystery.

Asuma Dove... [That sounds like a cover name if he's ever heard one. But this guy can't be another immortal, then - despite calling him Luke.]

You don't know? [ That surprises him. He looks so much like Luke...but if he really didn't know who Layton was, well, then he was either a Luke from another point in time, or just some kid who looked very similar to the little apprentice. ]

Maybe I've got the wrong kid, then.

Strange. [ He frowns, trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Only problem is, the pieces don't fit. ]

So you look like, sound like, and have the same name as Luke...but you don't know who Layton is? [ HM. ] I would write it off as a coincidence, but the chances of something like this happening are slim.

I'm looking for my brother Benjamin. He's this tall [holding out a hand only a bit shorter than Luke himself is] and he likes to wear a brown hat.

I might have seen him around town a few times, but...well, I don't think I've seen someone that matches that description today.
