Asleep, dressed only in new feather pants, shivering. When he finally shivers himself awake, it's a groggy half-there voice that broadcasts. I'm not a- a feather! I'm Layton's apprent- [hand grabbed, arm most likely tugged on. His words choke out in his throat as Anise pulls him along. Since he doesn't know about the book, they're likely to just leave it behind in the snow]

I still don't know where my clothes are.

[She crouches down, growing steadily more concerned. After a moment's thought she takes off her jacket and holds it out for Luke, shivering slightly.]

I know it's a lot to take in at once, but just trust me, okay?

[Oh no, he can't take a lady's coat. Especially if she looks cold right after taking it off.]

Th-that's okay, I'll get warm on my own. ...Where are we again?

No, it's fine! [She smiles a bit at him.] We're in a clothing shop! Everything's free here, so you can take what you like! The clothes you were wearing before you got here should be in this shop somewhere.

Everything's...free? [He kneels up a little, looking around. There are tables and racks of clothes and...free?

Is that a familiar blue sweater? Still stumbling, Luke gets to his feet and holds onto the table it's on to get a better look.

That's it! Oh great. His shirt and shorts and - everything but the shoes and hat are there. ...But will the shorts do it in this weather?]

Hmmm...ah! What am I thinking? ["in this weather" like something normal is going on!]

Yeah, I know, it's pretty unbelievable! [Totally thinking you're in awe over all the things you can take and not shocked at the fact you're starting to adjust to the situation.]

[Anise points at the shorts.] You should get warmer clothes!

I don't wear this in the winter. [Well, he does the sweater. England is always cold and rainy and sweaters are just...good for that. For now he tries to put on the shirt and sweater and yelps instead]

Something's wrong with my back...?

Huh? Lemme see? [Was his back frozen? It takes a few seconds before she realizes what's wrong. It's kind of strange to think that she had gotten so used to all the winged people in Luceti.] Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention! You grow wings when you arrive here! [She reaches out to give Luke's wings a gentle stroke to prove that they exist.] I have a pair too, but it's cold, so I wore my clothes on top of them.

[he shudders at that careful touch on wings that are just beginning to feel again. Something very weird was going on around here. He felt that, and as he looks over his shoulder at the wings - wings! - in a mirror, and thinks about it, they move ever so slightly.
