[In the plaza, near its southern edge, there is something strange. It is most noticeable now that snow is falling in earnest - a shape, smallish and curled up on itself. There is a boy in the snow. Asleep, dressed only in new feather pants, shivering. When he finally shivers himself awake, it's a groggy half-there voice that broadcasts. Seems the journal's open.] Just...a few m-more...minutes, Prof-ffessor...

[She sighs and offers her hand, instead of trying to drag him up again.] That's serious! I've heard stories of people getting their body parts turned to ice then needing to chop them off!

What? That...that wouldn't really happen, would it?

[Professor where are you to stop him from freaking out. Very slowly he gets to his bare feet and shivers harder]

Where did all of this snow come from...

Huh? It's been snowing for awhile now! [She takes a look at his clothes. Oh.] Hey, you're a New Feather, right? Welcome to Luceti! C'mon! Let's get you inside first!

[Grabbing your hand again~!]

I'm not a- a feather! I'm Layton's apprent- [hand grabbed, arm most likely tugged on. His words choke out in his throat as Anise pulls him along. Since he doesn't know about the book, they're likely to just leave it behind in the snow]

[Lucky those journals can magically return to their owner, eh?]

Of course you're not a feather! A New Feather's a term for someone who just came to Luceti! [Yep, dragging you to the clothing shop.]

But this is supposed to be London! [Why aren't you understanding? He can hardly get the words out anyway, being yanked along as he is.]

[Shoving you unceremoniously into the shop.] You got transported into another world! Your normal clothes should be here. Take a look around!

[Oh nope he's going down again. But at least it's inside the shop and he'll start to warm up in there.

Anise you are so forceful.]

Don't make up things like that. It's not possible to be in another world.

[SIGH.] I didn't believe it at first, but it's true! Now c'mon! Let's find some clothes for you!

It doesn't? ...But I was told I was dragged here away from home! What should Yotsuba believe now?

Dragging someone away from their home is against the law! ...Do you think that's really what happened?

[He's just kneeling there on the floor, still looking frosty around the edges]

I still don't know where my clothes are.

[She crouches down, growing steadily more concerned. After a moment's thought she takes off her jacket and holds it out for Luke, shivering slightly.]

I know it's a lot to take in at once, but just trust me, okay?

[Oh no, he can't take a lady's coat. Especially if she looks cold right after taking it off.]

Th-that's okay, I'll get warm on my own. ...Where are we again?

No, it's fine! [She smiles a bit at him.] We're in a clothing shop! Everything's free here, so you can take what you like! The clothes you were wearing before you got here should be in this shop somewhere.

Everything's...free? [He kneels up a little, looking around. There are tables and racks of clothes and...free?

Is that a familiar blue sweater? Still stumbling, Luke gets to his feet and holds onto the table it's on to get a better look.

That's it! Oh great. His shirt and shorts and - everything but the shoes and hat are there. ...But will the shorts do it in this weather?]

Hmmm...ah! What am I thinking? ["in this weather" like something normal is going on!]

Yeah, I know, it's pretty unbelievable! [Totally thinking you're in awe over all the things you can take and not shocked at the fact you're starting to adjust to the situation.]

[Anise points at the shorts.] You should get warmer clothes!

I don't wear this in the winter. [Well, he does the sweater. England is always cold and rainy and sweaters are just...good for that. For now he tries to put on the shirt and sweater and yelps instead]

Something's wrong with my back...?

Oh...h-hey, it's all right, calm down!

Then let's make sure you don't freeze before he finds you. [come on, Luke... if you won't stand up he's picking you up. Let's head for the clothes shop.]

Huh? Lemme see? [Was his back frozen? It takes a few seconds before she realizes what's wrong. It's kind of strange to think that she had gotten so used to all the winged people in Luceti.] Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention! You grow wings when you arrive here! [She reaches out to give Luke's wings a gentle stroke to prove that they exist.] I have a pair too, but it's cold, so I wore my clothes on top of them.

[he shudders at that careful touch on wings that are just beginning to feel again. Something very weird was going on around here. He felt that, and as he looks over his shoulder at the wings - wings! - in a mirror, and thinks about it, they move ever so slightly.

He felt that too.]

This can't be real. It's a dream, or...

[He can't feel his feet! Also Luke isn't that scrawny, that someone built like Minato can just hoist him up. He'll stand but need to hold on to something in order to keep any kind of balance.]

[hey, hey, he's strong, okay. But Minato will let him hold onto him to support himself as they start moving.]
