[When the journal recording comes on, there's a bit of static. It's either from the dunking it took in some serious floodwater, or just Luke's weird thick breathing.]

So...I-I know everybody's busy with all this [unseen, one hand gestures to the village around him, then covers his mouth while he sneezes] and I'm gonna help, I promise.

I just need somewhere to go. ...Aah, to stay, I suppose I mean. My room got really wrecked and it's not going back to the way it was. [Another sneeze, and a few coughs. Luke is stubbornly ignoring all these signs of "what an awful time to come down with something" because...in his dizzy head it might just be what a gentleman does. If necessary.]

It wouldn't be forever... [Sniff. He might like it to be, though, depending on who you are. Living alone is lonely.] Just for a little while, if it's all right.

Huh. Now that you mention it, I bet you could! But it might not be a good idea to be out and around too much if you're sick, you know? You might get other people sick and stuff, you know?

Oh. I wouldn't want to do that. But I could just sit by myself, I guess.

Like, I guess you have a point. But even if you feel well enough to go out, you really should rest in bed! I mean like, that's the best thing for a cold or whatever, right?

About...eight months or so. I woke up right in the middle of the snowwhen I got here. It was like, so totally terrible.

Like, I'm not surprised. These creepy scientists are like, way rude, if you ask me! From what I've seen they just dump people where ever. They could at least put them somewhere not terrible considering the situation, you know?

I don't think they care very much how we feel about it.

Good point. Like, soooo inconsiderate, right? Especially with all those weird experiments. I wish they would cool it with that stuff. At least they don't last very long...

Somehow I don't think they will...ah, "cool it". At least not soon.

You're probably right. I can't even imagine what they're even learning from these experiments. Blugh, probably stuff that doesn't even matter...!

Um...I'm not sure I want to know, now that I think about it.
